1. Overview

50CrV4, known internationally as AISI 6150 or SUP10, is a chromium-vanadium alloy spring steel that combines high strength, elasticity, and toughness.
It is particularly suitable for automotive suspension springs, clutches, and high-stress mechanical components where resistance to fatigue and shock loading is critical.

3. Production and Heat Treatment Process

50CrV4 strips are produced through a multi-stage precision rolling and thermal treatment process:

  1. Hot Rolled Coils ?sourced from ISO-certified steel mills.
  2. Acid Pickling ?removal of oxidation and surface impurities.
  3. Cold Rolling ?reduces thickness and enhances dimensional accuracy.
  4. Annealing (optional) ?improves ductility for cold forming.
  5. Hardening and Tempering ?precise heat treatment in controlled atmosphere furnaces.
    • Hardening: Heated above the austenitizing temperature (approx. 850掳C鈥?80掳C) and quenched.
